JISC InnovationBase

Welcome to the homepage for the IBWiki and IBMap projects. Based in Southampton and Manchester respectively these projects are concerned with developing a prototype of the JISC InnovationBase (or IB for short).

The IB will offer a powerful new way for understanding universities and how they work. It aims to provide a way of visually exploring the functions, roles, activities and applications within the university and a space in which these can be submitted, discussed and explored in an open way. It is creating a community of people which crosses departmental and institutional boundaries who have an interest in understanding how their institution works and how it can be improved.

The IB will go beta in September 2008. In the meantime please check out our project blog and feel free to contact us with any questions.
